We had such a wonderful stay here! The staff were amazing, and a special thanks to the lovely staff in the restaurant that made our dining experiences so enjoyable. The food was five star, but when the service is also five star, it makes such a difference. The pool area was beautiful, and it was peaceful. A lovely space to enjoy a Bintang while reading my book. You can not fault the location of the hotel. We were within a five minute walk of the monkey forest and all the shopping and dining you could ask for was right on the doorstep. Surprisingly, given we were so close to all the action, we did not notice any noise from the main street in the evening. If I had to find fault here, I would simply say that the room was a little tired. This didn't concern us though as it was well appointed, clean, and very spacious. Thankyou for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend this hotel.

Very amazing place! The staff especially at the restaurant is very kind and welcoming and the food is definitely the best in the area, the prices are the same as everywhere else, not more expensive, just more quality. It's also open to anyone, no need to stay at the resort which is very nice

Absolutely wonderful. The staff were all so kind and accommodating, the prices were fair for being a resort and our villa was clean, cozy, and private. Never heard a sound from the outside world. The private pool was wonderful, and to top it all off we were visited by monkeys frequently. If you're looking for a relaxing, private place to stay in Ubub, look no further.

Free shuttle in central Ubud and yoga class were definite bonuses since I wasn’t driving. I had mostly breakfast which was outstanding and the salad I had was also good. A new spa, lounge and dining room are under construction. Bed was super comfy and the room was very modern and comfy. Clean lines of pool area go nicely with the tropical garden.

There are many beautiful villas in Ubud Bali but our stay at the Royal Kamuela has been an absolutely wonderful experience. The villa comes with an exquisite room and a spacious bathroom, which comes with a jacuzzi, and of course, the lovely private pool. All these, coupled with free breakfast and afternoon tea-which can be delivered to your villa, does spoil you and it did. I have only good things to say about the staff who are not only polite and attentive but also eager for feedback to further improve their services.

Excellent staff, they are always willing to help out and please. The place is amazing, my room was Villa 1, with my own pool and enough room to swing 10 cats. Loved my stay here.

Staying at Royal Kamuela Monkey Forest during our latest trip to Ubud was such a treat! From the villas, to the facilities, to the staff, and the overall experience -- everything is 5-star and presented with so much genuine care and interest in the well-being and comfort of all guests. If you're looking for a private and calm place to stay right in the heart of Ubud, this is the place for you. Each villa comes with a good size pool to lounge by during the days in a town where relaxation is THE best thing to enjoy. The property is small enough that it feels boutique-ish, and not like a big brand hotels that offer villas on-site of a much larger property, which is often the case with big internationally recognized brands. Quite frankly, there's nothing negative to say about Royal Kamuela -- they've scored perfectly across the board. Oh, and again the staff, they're so lovely!

My husband and I spent the first part of our honeymoon at the Royal Kamuela and hands-down, the staff provided the most friendly, kind and welcoming stay during all of our honeymoon. The villa itself was beautiful and private, and was cleaned everyday. On arrival, the luxurious bath was filled with petals for a romantic honeymoon welcome. We were also informed by one of the friendly and lovable staff members, Murta, about a romantic 3 course dinner - we liked the sound of it, so came back the next day after a busy day exploring Ubud to find our villa beautifully decorated with flowers and the pool filled with petals. The food (we had breakfast everyday and dinner three times) was absolutely delicious, and competitive prices compared to restaurants outside of the resort. The staff absolutely made this place, so a massive thank you to all especially Murta! They were very receptive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The communication with our transport providers was also excellent. 10/10!

What an amazing little gem these Villas are. Staff are so attentive to detail and very friendly. Villas are just gorgeous and everything you need including your own butler. Great spa treatments at good price. Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea which is served in your villa. We will be back ????
